Implementing SeloVerde Platform in Espírito Santo
Transparency and Traceability System for Livestock Supply Chains in Espírito Santo
Espírito Santo has emerged as a significant producer of agricultural commodities, with a focus on crops such as coffee, cocoa, and pulpwood, which play a crucial role in the state’s exports, reaching various international markets. To assess the socio-environmental compliance of rural properties and the regularity of agricultural production in accordance with Brazilian legislation, this project aims to develop the SeloVerde Espírito Santo platform. Through the CAR code, official socio-environmental data will be accessible to various stakeholders in a transparent and cost-free manner.
METHODOLOGY
The analysis of CAR “big data” for Espírito Santo is conducted using geoprocessing and database modeling tools such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS and Dinamica EGO. All of these are open-source technologies that leverage land use data, deforestation, enforcement actions, and other geospatial data to generate territorial intelligence. The hybrid computational infrastructure of these platforms enables data and applications to be shared between public and private clouds in a scalable and secure manner.
RESULTS
Shortly.
